1. Has singing/song writing always been your dream?
Yes ever since I was 15 years old all I could think about was writing songs, selling them, playing on radio stations and being famous and now I'm a famous songwriter/singer writing for the bandleader of 'Herman's Hermit's and now with the writer for Sham 69 who helped produce my new album 'Rise and Shine'.
I've recently been told I am the 11th most played act in America for radio now as sold 3.5 million of my track 'Airtight' through a sponsorship deal. I also wanted to work with other acts and make their dreams come true so started Echoroom to help others as much as possible.
Since then I have worked with over 50 artists including 'Scouting for Girls' and 'Tymon Dogg of 'The Clash' and of Jo Strummer and the Masceleroes, so many great acts both famous and non famous, right now Henri Brana from Sweden a real talented Musician with his album out this year he is really catchy and fresh with his single 'Too late'. Henri is one to watch there is something about him; he has a real presence and unique style.
Also Kotadama based in Australia they have a host of top song's that are so well written and tight production. The album they have done 'Dichotomy' has had such a fantastic reaction worldwide and everyone has praised and loved them.
Chinie is a great artist from the UK in London, a real amazing voice she does not realize her talent for singing and expression within music.
Her voice is a real beautiful instrument a gem of a singer.
Kerstin Stilling from Sweden won an Award for Best female vocal at the Los Angeles music awards, her music is sensational and I am lucky enough to work with her album 'Much more less'. Ludwig Amadeus from London is another act I work with and his singles have had endless radio play, an amazing man and so talented, a naturally gifted producer and songwriter that has his own label 'Size Nine records'. I'm also soon to be working with 'Kick-Ass Trainers' (Chandra Nair) who is brilliant produced by Lawrence 'Woo' Allen.
I am proud of them, very proud in my eyes they are real stars...
2. Are you still with record label Hope Street Recordings?
Hope Street Recordings has been running for over 10 years now and it has been an endless success. My debut album 'Problems for Progress' has been selling through it for 7 years now via Tescos, HMV, Napster, I-tunes, previously Virgin Meagastore's, mobile phone downloads.
Five of my tracks got in the Napster chart top 20 with 'Out of love' at the No 1 spot. I wrote another track called 'Crash or Burn' from the music of Richard Anthony Dunford, that has been No. 1 in the Overplay music charts. It has been released by band 'Dedicated to Dedications'. One day I'd like to sign up acts once things calm down a bit. The acts I have spoke about are all great acts for future signings, and would recommend them to anyone so check them out please readers.
3. I love the name Echoroom, where did the idea to do PR work come from and where did the name Echoroom come from?
Thank you for your kind words about Echoroom. Well the idea about PR and Music Development just come from the feeling I wanted to develop other's music, and help people get their music out further to a wider audience.
The name Echoroom came from a conversation I had with a friend he said how about two words together for a name, I said how about Echo with another word and then I said how about Echoroom simple as that really.
