I met Liam Golder in 2010 and like Lotus Magma he has set up ventures to help very gifted musicians gain more exposure. He puts his heart and soul into his projects, and aside from publicising others, he is first and foremost is a singer and songwriter. With numerous chart hits and endless successes, if you are an up and coming artist, you had best keep your eye on Liam read more about his in this two part article.

5. I saw that you have interviewed Henri Brana of Cyber Record label, apart from the online media aspect is literary publication a way you can see yourself going to promote yourself and others?

Henri Brana has had a lot of interest as well as his label Cyber Record's run by Johan Hårdstam. He is not scared to be his own person as a Musician, and think this is why he is popular and a continuous success.

I target both online and literary publications and over the years we have had features in both which has been pleasing... So yes, I would like to continue down this avenue and keep it all going.

6. What song did you enjoy writing/recording the most and where did the inspiration for it come from?

That's a tough question...I've recorded over 40 tracks of which 22 are published. I think my new track and future single 'Ambition' has been the most enjoyable of late which I wrote on the piano. It came from a gap I had in a relationship with my fiancée. We were apart for 3 months and in that time I realized she was the one I wanted to be with. In the studio I had tears in my eyes after listening back to the track a powerful love song. The double meaning is that the song is also about your dreams and ambitions in life.

7. What has been your major gig to date?

Major gig wise I did a showcase to over 30,000 people and recently played at a Holiday camp outside event to around 2000. The atmosphere on both of these occasions was breath taking, a nervous energy really exciting.

8. What projects are you currently involved (if you don't mind me asking)?

Current projects are those as above- plus it looks like going to be working on a track produced by Joe Hirst who hit no 1 with Roll Deep 'Green Light' in the UK Charts. Also putting the song together for a track I wrote called 'My Saturday Girl' collaboration between me and an ex- Herman's Hermit to be released soon and published. Also involved in a soundtrack for a new Zombie film but cannot say yet what the film title is sorry.

9. Can you tell us a bit more about yourself i.e. your interests, hobbies etc...

Hobbies wise aside from song writing and playing the Guitar, piano, bass etc enjoy the Theatre, cinema, bowling, playing pool, love comedy. Travelling is exciting been all over the world pretty much Switzerland was awesome. I've got a weakness for spicy Indian food it is really hard not to go long periods without it.

10. Do you have any advice for anyone starting out, or who is looking to get into music?

For anyone starting in music research the area really well, keep motivated and positive; write catchy tracks with killer choruses. Be polite to people, arrogance does not need to be music or does nothing for your status. Believe in what you are doing and only release what you feel is your best effort - never rush. Don't give up easily if people reject you. You will never please everyone. But if you make great songs that are in tune and there is a market for them, with the right connections you could go far if you push yourself. If you have a dream just don't give up throw yourself into it all and work hard. Sell yourself and get people behind you, play at every opportunity and promote at every angle.

Any of us that have seen the film "The Social Network" will know that the big creators of our favourite social networking sites are also individuals that are most likely (on occasion) to deal with court cases. However, this is now not the case and it appears that any individual Twitter-user in England or Wales could have court proceedings brought against them according to the Attorney General.
For centuries copyright has been given through legislation to authors and artists of all medias. However this legislation only applies to works that are in a concrete form, such as a manuscript, play script, written or recorded musical score, photographs, sculptures, collages 3D or 2D visual work of art, works of architecture and works of artistic craftsmanship (though most artistic works are protected irrespective of artistic quality). However, this is a requirement for works of architecture and artistic craftsmanship. Therefore these items need to be in a physical form that is capable of being copied, before the legislation applies automatic rights to prevent the piece being copied.
